Believe in yourself

There may be days when you get up in the morning and things aren’t the way you had hoped they would be.

That’s when you have to tell yourself that things will get better. There are times when people disappoint you and let you down.

But those are the times when you must remind yourself to trust your own judgments and opinions, to keep your life focused on believing in yourself.

There will be challenges to face and changes to make in your life, and it is up to you to accept them.

Constantly keep yourself headed in the right direction for you. It may not be easy at times, but in those times of struggle you will find a stronger sense of who you are.

So when the days come that are filled with frustration and unexpected responsibilities, remember to believe in yourself and all you want your life to be.

Because the challenges and changes will only help you to find the goals that you know are meant to come true for you.

Keep Believing in Yourself!

The mirror of life

Life is but a mirror,
Looking back at us.
Everything we do each day,
Should lead us to impress.

And sometimes when we need,
To see life differently.
We have that mirror to help us,
Change our view gently.

The eyes of everyone,
Also reflect back.
Mirrors come in different ways,
To show us what we lack.

But most importantly,
Don’t forget to always look.
Be your best
And life will look after the rest.

What we see and what we do
Are reflections of what is true
Don’t let your mirror reflect the things
That you do not want to come true.

Instead each day set your goals
Strive to complete, it is good for your soul.
Give life all you’ve got
Never look in the mirror and stop

When God orders

A very poor woman with a small family called-in to a radio station asking for help from God.

A non-believer man who was also listening to this radio program decided to make fun of the woman.

He got her address, called his secretary and ordered her to buy a large amount of foodstuffs and take to the woman.

However, he sent it with the following instruction: ‘When the woman asks who sent the food, tell her that its from the devil.”

When the secretary arrived at the woman’s house, the woman was so happy and grateful for the help that had been received. She started putting the food inside her small house.

The Secretary then asked her, ‘Don’t you want to know who sent the food?’

The woman replied, ‘No, Say thanks to whomever sent this! I don’t care who the person is because when GOD orders, even the devil obeys!

Be kind.. Be compassionate

This story of a young boy was told to me once  by my mother when i was young back at the village.

There was once a young boy who often was angry.

His father decided to give him a bag of nails one afternoon saying: “son, when you get angry take one of these nails and simply nail it into the fence in our backyard. You will feel better by releasing your frustration.”

After the first day, the young boy had nailed 25 nails into the fence.

But as the weeks went by, the young boy grew more aware of his anger and put fewer and fewer nails into the fence.

Although he never denied the anger that was there, in time, he found it easier to silently experience his anger and then release it rather than angrily nail the nails into the fence.

Finally, the day came when the young boy stopped losing his temper completely. On that day, his father said to him: “son, now go to that fence and pull out a nail for each day that you could manage your anger and hold it in a responsible way.”

A day later, the boy went to his father and told him that each nail had been removed from the fence.

The father replied: “I am proud of you son. I would like you to look at the holes that you have made in the fence.’

‘When things are said in anger, irritation or frustration, you can put a hole into someone just like you have put a hole into that fence.’

‘Although you may retract your words and apologize, the scar can remain for a long, long time. So be kind. Be compassionate.’

Elephant and friends

One day an elephant wandered into a forest in search of friends.

He saw a monkey on a tree.

‘Will you be my friend?’ asked the elephant.

Replied the monkey, ‘You are too big. You can not swing from trees like me.’

Next, the elephant met a rabbit. He asked him to be his friends.

But the rabbit said, ‘You are too big to play in my burrow!’

Then the elephant met a frog.

‘Will you be my friend? He asked.

‘How can I?’ asked the frog.

‘You are too big to leap about like me.’

The elephant was upset. He met a fox next.

‘Will you be my friend?’ he asked the fox.

The fox said, ‘Sorry, sir, you are too big.’

The next day, the elephant saw all the animals in the forest running for their lives.

The elephant asked them what the matter was.

The bear replied, ‘There is a tier in the forest. He’s trying to gobble us all up!’

The animals all ran away to hide.

The elephant wondered what he could do to solve everyone in the forest.

Meanwhile, the tiger kept eating up whoever he could find.

The elephant walked up to the tiger and said, ‘Please, Mr. Tiger, do not eat up these poor animals.’

‘Mind your own business!’ growled the tiger.

The elephant has a no choice but to give the tiger a hefty kick.

The frightened tiger ran for his life.

The elephant ambled back into the forest to announce the good news to everyone.

All the animals thanked the elephant.

They said, ‘You are just the right size to be our friend.’

My grandma told me a story of how they found a great nanny for my uncle while he was a baby and she managed to get him too sleep instantly every night. it later turned out that she soaked a cloth in whiskey and held it too his face.

Perfomance depends on motivation

This story was told to me by my Grandmother when i was a little girl at the village while sitting around the fire.

A dog spotted a rabbit and started chasing him, but the rabbit got away.

Seeing this, a goat stopped to gloat.

‘Too fast for you, wasn’t he?’ he sneered.

‘Why are you surprised?’ said the dog. ‘I was chasing him for fun and he was running for his life.’

Its a very short storie and its teaching us something as per the tittle Perfomance depends on motivation.

Hope you enjoyed reading it!
